Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in executing digital marketing initiatives that enhance engagement with both healthcare professionals and patients across the U.S. Surgical Vision business. Reporting to the Director of Digital & Channel Marketing, this role drives digital excellence by managing omnichannel programs, optimizing digital platforms, and delivering actionable insights to support lead generation, customer experience, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate brings a blend of hands-on digital execution, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to help grow Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision’s digital presence and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Patient Digital Engagement (50%)
- Develop and manage a CRM program that delivers segmented, consistent messaging to targeted HCPs and patients to drive demand, lead generation, and supplement field sales efforts.
- Collaborate with product marketing (under the guidance of the Associate Marketing Manager) to integrate digital tactics into go-to-market plans and support asset development.
- Own content management and ongoing optimization for professional and patient websites (e.g., JJVisionPro.com, ClearVisionForYou.com), including CMS updates, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Global, Communications, Professional Education, and IT) to elevate user experience and grow digital engagement across touchpoints.
Digital Channel Maintenance (40%)
- Oversee digital platform operations, including CMS updates (Content Stack), field sales platform content, and Doc Finder.
- Manage daily backend administration of the customer database and email deployment system (SFMC), including e-blast execution, system maintenance, and reporting.
- Lead the development and weekly deployment of the field sales newsletter, partnering closely with the Channel team and key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate content across platforms, manage user access, and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless channel integration.
- Support budget management processes, including PO creation, check requests, and Totality tracking.
Digital Insights & Analytics (10%)
- Define and track KPIs across digital channels and campaigns (e.g., trade show leads, SFMC performance, Google Analytics site data).
- Deliver high-level reporting with actionable insights to drive optimization and deeper engagement across digital programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a concentration in Business, Marketing, or Medicine/Life Sciences is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years digital marketing experience in-house or in an agency is required.
- Proficient in CMS platforms, with preference for Contentstack or Drupal.
- Skilled in SEO, SEM, email, social media, and paid media strategy.
- Experienced in campaign optimization and performance reporting (Google Analytics).
- Proficient in CRM and marketing automation (e.g., Salesforce, Klaviyo).
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and cross-functional skills.
- Familiarity with design and video tools preferred (e.g. Canva, Photoshop, Premiere).
- Strong project management, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Data-driven and insights-oriented; delivers clear reporting to stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Up to 10% business travel may be required.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $63,000 to $102,350.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
